Create Self-belief with Mindful Practices
Including a mindful movement, breath and visualization practice
“Self-confidence is a super power.
Once you start to believe in yourself,
magic starts happening.”

Why is it so important to believe in yourself?
One of the biggest reasons many of us never quite reach our dreams is because we lack self-belief and confidence in our abilities. In order to develop that belief, we need to gather evidence through trying new things and making mistakes, but how can we do that when we can’t summon up the courage to try in the first place? Without self-belief, the fear of failure and judgment of others stops us from even starting. We begin to think it’s an unsolvable problem.
As most problems are, though, It absolutely is solvable once we open our hearts and minds to the possibilities.
“The way to make your dreams come true is to start believing in them.”
Helen Barry
One way I’ve learned to keep myself moving forward, even when I’m still in the process of gathering the evidence I need to reassure myself of my abilities, is through daily self-reflection with mindful practices. Moving through a slow mindful yoga practice, walking in the woods, sitting in meditation, or writing in my journal all help to sort out and question my unuseful thoughts and limiting beliefs.
Do you want to give it a try? Here’s a mindful movement and breath practice and visualization for you to try. For this practice, all you need is a chair and a quiet place to sit.

Mindful Journal Prompts
Here are some journal prompts to help you continue the journey.
What do I need to believe about myself to create this dream goal?
What evidence do I already have to support this belief?
What teeny, tiny, turtle steps (simple, “no brainer” steps) can I take this week that will move me towards my goals?
Spending time engaged in mindful practices increases builds resilience and leads to more positive thoughts which will lead to more willingness to try new things. And as you try new things and experience small successes, self-confidence grows. Over time it all makes a difference.
Believe in yourself and watch what happens!

Theodore Roosevelt
“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right”
Henry Ford

"I felt at complete ease with Sharon from our first conversation. She has a wonderful, gentle but firm way that made me focus on my thoughts / feelings so I could remove / change to move forward with a completely different feeling to what felt like obstacles. It was great having regular coaching that gently kept me accountable to actioning and moving towards my goals. Sharon has vast experience in so many areas, I felt that makes her an amazing coach.”
